RE: Extended Closure for COVID 19
To all Students & Families,
Perry County Schools will honor Governor Lee’s request to have all school remain closed for the rest of the 2019-20 school year. Questions have been asked regarding students being able to collect personal items from school.
Linden Elementary, Linden Middle and Lobelville School will develop dates to have teachers come in according to grade levels to collect & bag items belonging to students and textbooks. Perry County High School will have teachers report in subject area teams to gather student items and textbooks.
Schools will announce on the district website & facebook page when parents can drive up to the front of the school building to pick up items. Please watch online communications to see when you may pick up your student’s personal items. We will try our best to get all items returned to students in mid-May. Students and families will not be allowed inside the building in order to limit the contact of individuals.
Thank you for your cooperation. Please watch the district website & facebook page for further updates and communications.

To Our Perry County Schools Families,
Perry County Schools has been receiving information and working to develop a plan in response to Covid-19. This is a new experience for all of us, and it is taking some time for information from the US Department of Education as well as the Tennessee Department of Education to be released. We want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding during this extremely difficult time. Please know our first priority is to keep all families and children safe and healthy. We do not feel it is wise at this time to have any in-person interaction. Therefore, we would like to provide you with free resources and access to the Tennessee Department of Education School Closure Toolkits. TDOE has released multiple toolkits available online to access free resources. Below is a listing of a few of those resources available to families.
The Special Education Department is releasing information for families in a separate letter. Please look for it as well on the district website & Facebook page.
Please continue to watch the Perry County Schools website and Facebook page for updates to the Student Meals program.
Again, we thank you for your patience and your work at home in support of your child’s education.
